Andrea Arena (Italy) has worked on several documentary and fiction films in production, location and camera department. Previously he worked at La Fenice Opera theater in Venice in orchestra inspection and props departments. 
A short documentary Andrea directed in 2016, The Island of the Black Sun, was officially selected for festivals worldwide and won best short film awards at three festivals in Italy. 
In 2018 he shot, directed and edited his first feature documentary Taming Winter: A Story of Carnivals and Bears which is currently being developed into a museum installation. 
He has taught video documentary production at public and private schools in Roma and Torino.
